The brick castle

Known locally as "The Castle" the restored nationally recognized brick house overlooks the VLGS campus and is located at the junction of Routes 14 and 110 just across the White River from the VLGS campus. It's an easy walk across the Chelsea Street... Bridge to the campus. One fully furnished bedroom with private bathroom. The furnished bedroom is available June 2026. The house is quiet and no smoking or heavy drinking is allowed. The owner of the house, a retired Vermont historian and a member of the Royalton Selectboard, lives in the house with two indoor cats, a VLGS student and all enjoy the company and friendship of VLGS students. The student who rents the room has shared use of the house which has a large lawn and off-street parking. No roommates are allowed; this is not a party house. I expect the student to keep the house clean and to follow recycling rules.
