Beautiful Home Set on Fay Brook in Sharon - Housemates Wanted!

A new homeowner in Sharon VT is looking for 2-3 housemates to fill out a newly-purchased home starting in July 2020. The house: Is a large 1987 house in Sharon on 20 forested acres. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen with modern appliances, and an open floor plan. The house has plenty of outdoor space and parking spaces. There is a wood stove and propane heat, and firewood is provided by me. The house is 5 minutes from I-89, 12 minutes from the Vermont Law School, 20 minutes from WRJ/Lebanon, and 30 minutes from DHMC. There can be a garden. I sugar in the spring. Me: I run a local trailbuilding and dry-stone masonry company based in Sharon and working in the broader community. I’m also a writer. I’ve lived in the Upper Valley for eight years now, and feel very connected to the area. As such, I hope to create a small community within my house. I’ve lived previously in several group-housing situations and hope to create a similar environment here now that I’ve decided to set in roots. This is a home, first and foremost, and I look forward to sharing it with others who want to help foster that feeling. I like to cook and sometimes (but not always) collaborate on meals. I like music, playing cards and games, and am an avid skier, hiker and canoeist. I like to read. I value a clean kitchen. I like a cold beer at the end of a long day. I am technologically inept, love dogs and am allergic to cats. I get along with most folks and understand the benefits and limitations of having housemates. I value communication and camaraderie, laughter and fun, and a strong work ethic. I also value my space at time too. I have lots of experience in group living situations and look forward to another positive one. Logistics: Rent is $600/month plus utilities, which I expect to be about $75-85 per person per month. There is also a room with its own private bathroom that is $800/month plus utilities. Wood will be provided and will account for 90% of heating costs in the winter. There is a parking spot in front of the house. The house is furnished and there is plenty of storage space in the basement. The bedrooms are not. Plowing is performed by me in the winter and mowing in the summer. Shoveling the deck and maintaining a clean living space is shared. If you are interested: Please write me an email with some information about yourself, your previous housing situations, and why you think you might be a good addition to my house.
